I'm off to Queensland!
Hi everyone. i've been trying to pack 9 days worth of camping/cycling gear (and withing a 22Kg limit!). Within 1/2 hour I'll be on a city bus to Central station (Sydney), where than I'll catch the 4.25pm train to Brisbane. From then, I'll catch a chartered bus to Goondiwindi. And just why am I doing all this?
Because the 2005 Cycle Queensland cycle tour starts on Saturday. 560km of cycling, 1000 friends, fun and relaxation. Or that's what the brouchure says anyway. This will be my first big cycle tour, so it should be quite an experience. I'm not quite sure what to expect, and the distance seems a bit daunting. Oh well, you only live once.
Anyway, happy cycling everyone.

Sounds like a great trip. You don't say how many of the 9 days are cycling, but assuming 2 travel days then you would average 80 km each of the 7 cycling days. That should not be difficult at this time of year if you are in reasonable shape. Please post a report when you get back.
