Supertick

I have a set of wheels that came with my touring bike. They are Deore 36h with Weinmann Zac 19 rims laced with what appears to be 15 ga. spokes. They are black in color if that matters. I wonder if they would be alright for loaded touring. So far I have just towed a trailer with them for a couple of hundred miles. Are these hubs and rims any good? Thank you in advance...

The hubs are okay. Middle of the road and nothing to write home about but they will get the job done. I doubt that the spokes are 15g (1.8mm). They are more likely 14g (2.0mm) which is the normal standard for productions wheels. I don't know much about the rims nor the bike they came on (a detail you left out) but I doubt that they would fold under load like a house of cards.

For the most part, just about any rim will work as long as it is wide enough and has the proper number of holes. 36 is standard for touring bikes. You could probably get several thousand miles out of these wheels without too much trouble even carrying a heavy load.
