Rohloff Speedhub/Miyata 1000

I currently run the Miyata as a fixed with a track crank and geat a low Q as a result.
I want to convert it to an alternative all road loaded tourer as an option.
Am thinking of the Rohloff hub as the perfect upgrade, which still gives me a strong symmetrical wheel,
and perfect chainline as does the fixed.
The $1200.00 cost is a bitter pill to swallow however.
anybody know how it would work with a 126 rear end with horizontal drop outs?
