Travel Agent VS V-brake booster

Anyone seen both of these and have an opinion?

The Boost seems to have nicer machining in the picture I saw, while the TA has a barrel adjust. I realize there is a lever that makes either redundant, and if I see one of those, I may order it.

I use Travel Agents with V-brakes and STI brake levers. They work perfectly well.

I've used travel agents on a couple of bikes. I don't personally like them though because they make a funny cable run to the brakes.

The work fine once installed and adjusted.

The lever in question is the Diacompe 287-V. A much better option, but one that won't work if you want to use "brifters" instead of bar-end or downtube shifters.

The C+ forum had a thoing on the 287-v levers, seem to be a bunch of unhappy users. And some happy ones. I'm keeping my eye on the thread.
