Tent For Me + Bike Friday
I know that this has been done to death, but I'm having trouble doing the research. Since I've got my new $2,500 Bike Friday, I'm a little paranoid about leaving it outside. I know, that in previous discussions, people referred to tents that have a very large vestible that could hold my Bike Friday and suitcase/trailer. Can't seem to find them. If you have any idea of good candidates, the feedback would be appreciated.

I think it was called the MSR Velo tent.

I know it's not always good to asume things but........
Seeing as you have told us what you paid for your beautiful bike, maybe you'd want a high quality tent to go with it? If so try Hilleberg the Tentmaker. Many of thier models will accomodate you quite nicely.

If you try strapping a MSR Velo to a Bike Friday you may find you don't have room for anything else, those things are 10 pound monster tents that pack up the size of a pony keg.

Check out a Eureka Zeus exol 2 or 3. Lightweight, pack small, plenty of room. It is single wall, so inside moisture may be of concern (yet is avoidable). Nice tips on Ken Kiefers site regarding using single walls (this tent actually), if your not familiar with there drawbacks.

Sore saddle cyclist
I made one out of waterproof rip stop nylon. Took yard material, cut and sewn to fit snug around the bike. I put in grommits so I could stake it out to put other things under it during the night, and also put on velcro straps to just wrap it around the bike tight. The rip stop was nice because it was very light, and folded very small, I put it in a ziplock bag and stuffed it into the sack with my sleeping bag.
If you fold up the friday at night, think of how small the bag would be.

Wow! Never thought of folding the bike at night. Got a nice silinylon (or whatever it's called) that weighs nothing and would be more than big enough. Thanks for all the suggestions.
