Beer and Bikes

hey there guys, found a lot of stuff here about beer and bikes. Not to say i haven't done it 'once or twice' (well in fact I thought I was being responsable by not driving and riding) but check out the SA Government's answer to riding under the influence https://www.transport.sa.gov.au/publi...lingandlaw.pdf (2/11/05), page 18. FYI... 0.05% BA is the legal limit for driving a car but apparently for riding a bike is whatever the cop decides is enough... for us with a little less fat this could be one beer!!!!!!

Ahh well here in the states the worst you can get is a public intox ticket. I should know they have warned me many times. Ohhh but the drink of choice on the bike is Vodka and Gatoraid.... Hydrate and get drunk all in one drink. That dosent mean we still don't carry beer as well. Ohh and the ratteling can in the cage can be fixed by putting a coozie around the can .

Cheers,

Coco

P.S if you are ever up for the larget party ride in the world. Ragbrai in the state of iowa pulls in over 15 thousand people eache year to ride accross the state for a week and it's one giant party on wheels. Here is the link for the official site https://www.ragbrai.org but if you want to see the real crazy people you can look around at https://www.bikeiowa.com

Several years ago I was riding back to KC from Denver. It was at night when I stopped to, well, use the facilities. My bike was laid down and my rear blinkie was still on.

A car drove by and saw my bike. They stopped. I hurried over to my bike to find 3 guys looking at it. After talking for a minute I found out one was the town doctor, one was the doctors brother, and the the other was a best friend. It was about 2am. The VFW had closed and they were headed to the local bar to finish the night. They invited me along. Cautiously I followed.

We sat in the bar all night and talked about my ride, where I had been, camping, people, things I had seen. They bought me beer after beer. When I left, it was about 4:30am. They drove (and I followed on my bike) to the nearest city park. I pitched my tent and quickly passed out. I was plowed.

The next late morning I woke up to the sound of playing kids. The park was open and I was about 20 yards from the public pool.

I made a vow......Always pitch my tent FIRST! Beers second!!
