Fuji Touring spoke breakage what year?
I've read the threads about people having problems with the Fuji Touring breaking spokes. I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem to a specific year. If you had a lot of broken spokes what year bike is it? Anybody have a '06 with this problem?
Thanks

My Fuji is an 05 and after 800 miles I broke a spoke. No loaded riding, just groceries now and then in the rear panniers. Had the wheel rebuilt with heavier duty spokes at a bike store in Madison and it's been fine since.

2004 Fuji Touring with massive rear wheel spoke breakage. Fuji finally replaced it with an OEM Fuji World wheel (Formula hub/Alex X-2100 rims, 32 hole)...no more problems.

2004 I think (green in color)
21 broken spokes on a 2 month tour. Fuji warranty (who to their credit were fantastic - they even followed up afterwards to check I was still happy) gave me the option of shipping a new wheel to me anywhere en route or getting it rebuilt with DT spokes under warranty. I went the rebuild option and haven't had any problems since.

40 broken spokes with 1 month travel in China with 2005 FUJI Touring. ( I am traveling 6 month and still on) I tried to contact with dealer. But I failed. After 1 month, I changed every spokes with DT. Now during 5 month, I have no problem. ( My luggage weight is 70kg )

My Father bought a Fuji Touring bike brand new in May 05 for a month-long tour me and him took around Viginia. He broke close to every spoke on his drive side and half on his non-drive side that month. We even ended up taking it to a local shop in central VA for a complete proffesional re-true and adjustment, no luck. P.O.S. if you ask me. The bike was nice he thought, but the wheels were complete garbage!
