Trade 56cm green Surly LHT for 58CM?
This isn't really for sale so I hope I'm on the right list as this is related to a touring frame. I'm looking to trade my 56cm green Surly LHT frame for a green 58cm. The 56 is a tad too small. Hoping someone has a 58 that’s a tad to big. My frame is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny bit of decal wear. One has to really look to see this. The only addition is a small diamond shaped red vintage Campagnolo decal on the seat tube. The bike is already built with everything I've ever wanted, so I would deconstruct and ship just the frame. If a trade doesn’t happen looks like I’ll wait for a new red one and sell this one on E-Bay. Please E-mail me at rlareno@gmail.com if interested.

I would like to consider buying it?
Haven't seen the surly in person, but have read good things.

How tall are you, etc. that the 56cm seems to be too small? I myself am trying to determine if I should order a 56 or a 58.

You may want to consider a 60cm. I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam and 91cm pubic bone height. The 62cm fits me fine. Felt a little weird at first. Went off the Rivendell page for fitting. On the 56cm with the seat height adjusted right, how much lower are your bars? On my 62cm, the bars and seat are at the same height.

With my seat at optimal height, the top of my bars is 3/4" lower than the top of my saddle. (My stem has the highest rise I could find). This is measured using a strait edge across the top of the saddle, which is level with my top tube. In a moment of rationalized financial insanity, I was considering a Heron or a Rivendell. (maybe in my next life as a wealthy person). According to they’re measurements, I would be riding a 59cm. So, my reasonable assumption is that I could get by on a 58" LHT. An interesting note. I just measured a new 58cm (23") Trek 520 at the LBS and my 56cm Surly is the same size!
