How old are you?

How old/young is everyone on here? Just curious as to how old my touring-enthusiast counterparts are - and if I'm the minority in my young age. ~ David

22.

so far the ages seem pretty spread out. interesting.

i would've expected a distinct concentration of "not settled down yet" youngsters like myself and "sick of being settled down" retired folks.

Just turned 58 and got back to bicycling over 4 years ago after 9/11 averaging over 5k/year in non tour riding on a maintained beat up original owner 30 year old PX10. Now that bike deserves a longevity applause after what I put it through.

Numerically 46, and currently in the majority of the mix.

Physically, the Drs keep saying I am in my 70's

Yeah, I'm suprised at the spread-out results - though I assumed the small majority would be in the 46-55 age range. I hope this poll can stay alive long enough to get a decent response/reading, its kind of interesting!

Not many are in the minority when the come to the Touring pages. We tend to be....... shall I say the "oddballs" that fit together quite well here.

I'm 23 and will be headed across Canada in the summer, but I'll be 24 by then. Even at 24, I'll still be in the touring minority though (as it now stands at 8%, come on 21-25's, represent!).

24, even though I knew that lots of folks here are above 30 I'm surprised to see that people my age are a minority here.

I'll get in on some of this! I'm 46. I bought my first serious touring bike in 1982. It was a Specialized Expedition. I rode 5000 miles my first year. Been hooked ever since!

I just turned 50. I did longish day tours throughout my 20s and 30s, but did not attempt a long-distance tour until I was 42. Now I'm hooked, and do one big tour per year.
