road morph pump-what am I doing wrong

What am I doing wrong. I can't keep the hose to stay on the schrader valve while pumping up the tire.

I don't have mine at reach but isn't there a lever you should raise once the nosle is on the valve?

As I recall, a road morph comes configured for presta valves. To use on schrader valves, you need to unscrew the end of the pump head, remove the rubber gasket AND the plastic piece behind the gasket. Flip both around and reinstall. If you neglect to flip the plastic piece, the pump head will not depress the pin in the schrader valve.

Just out of curiousity, what was it that was causing you the gas that you corrected?
