World Cup Germany Journey

So my friends and I are cycle touring from Paris to Berlin to attend the World Cup games. Last summer we toured from Anchorage Alaska to Seattle Washington and got our feet wet in the realm of touring. Basically we are looking to know everything and anything in outfitting ourselves for this mission. That can include a good book on the subject as many exist or itinterary ideas (coastal or internal etc.). We don't plan on camping too much but availaility of camping areas as well as perhaps whether larger tires are necessary. Anyway thanks, preemtively for all of your help!!
