Having a problem with my handlebar bag

Hi all :) I'm having a real problem with my handlebar bag... apparently, it is causing a conflict with my cables and shifting is awful. At one point I saw some brackets (or something like that) that could be installed so that the cables wouldn't be so stressed by the bag. I searched the forum but no luck. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Oh, and in case this helps, I have a Fuji Tourer and a fairly large Topeak HB bag.

Thanks in advance for the help!

If you search the forums for "STI" and "handlebar bag" (picking the right query words is always a bit of a crapshoot, but these found some good hits for me), you should be able to find some of the previous discussions. Basically, you need to use a bit of hardware to reroute your cables. There is an excellent little article at http://www.arkel-od.com/technical/shiftersBB.asp, which discusses what little bits of hardware work.

Not sure on your question (I made my own HB bag, so it fits my bike perfectly) but I sent your blog to a female friend of mine, and I'm sure she'll enjoy it...

This came up just this week. Look at http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=182346 for a fix. The brake noodle works like a dream.

"STI" - whops self on forehead. I didn't think of adding that to my search string! LOL - thanks!
