Calgary to Alaska
We are planning a touring trip from calgary to Anchorage, alaska and we are wondering how hard it is to ride in the Rockies?
How is the road in Yukon? Trafic? Some cities to refill food, water? How is the weather also? We'll be leave Calgary in the beginning of may.
Thanks!

There is a year old thread called Questions about Alaska to Seattle. Search for it. Answers los of your questions and more. I read a lot more about black flies than bears. Do the Alcan paved and stores every day or so.

I second the recommendation for the milepost. Big, heavy, but you won't regret having it. I recommend going up the Cassiar Hway and taking a detour to Hyder. A lot of it isn't paved but that means a little more remote. Quite a few logging trucks but in my experience, they are some of the most courteous drivers on the planet.
