I must assume you will be credit card touring and have a front brake installed..?

US Route 1?

You can follow it continuously from Boston to its southern terminus in Key West, Fla.

i wont have a brake. i have no credit card. i will have to look at a map to see how route one is. is it bikeable the whole way or does it turn back into a highway at any point?

One week before the big ride and you are just considering your route. Sounds like a well thought out plan. I would suggest looking into the AdventureCycling Atlantic Coast route, but you didn't exactly leave any time to have them mailed to you. Maybe they can FedEx them to you. www.adventurecycling.org.

US 1 is probably not a good choice in many areas. It will take you right through many large cities. If this is what you want, then great. But you'll likely have a lot of traffic to deal with. The AdventureCycling route will be more sedate.

How much weight are you carrying? I assume you are prepared to climb a few hills along the way?

Don't give Boston a bad name...hmm...now that I think about it, the Big Dig was underplanned too.

Don't know about your questions... but I've got a couple for you!

How are you carrying your stuff? I too have pondered long distances on my bike (The one and only in my stable...) which has no braze on's for racks... and a hub that doesnt coast.

Back pack? One of those seat post mounted racks?

Thanks...

:D

Try 95 South. Dont worry it is all down hill once you hit Georgia.

A1A is possible.

Get a front brake or your knees will be 100% ****ed within three days. Guaranteed.

I'd still like to know how your going to carry everything... :D
