Hello. CAn you help me spread the word about my current Transamerican ride?
Hello everyone. I am currently cycling from Seattle to Miami to benefit children who have been orphaned in Haiti. I am in my 5th day of cycling and I am currently in Boise. Could you please visit the website for the ride at www.bikeforhaitikids.org and/or the foundation site at www.haitikidsfoundation.org and spread the word to all of your cyclist friends about this! That would be great and it is for a cause that we are completely passionate about. Thanks so much! --Jesse Johnson
Major cities we are visiting: Seattle, Portland, Boise, Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta, Macon, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Daytona, and then Miami! Thanks again, JJ

Contact local papers.
I'm apparently following a charity group and they keep making the paper.
Note that this is small town papers, the Denver paper's not gonna care, but some 8,000 person down in the middle of nowhere? They love ya.
They're generally more likely to help your cause, stragely enough. Big city folks have sensory overload, small town folks are much more likely to listen.

Good luck with your efforts! Nice web sites and interesting sponsor.
I would send press releases to all publications along your route.
