    Organized Bike Routes

    Hi all,
I am putting together a two-week, solo ride. Can anyone vouch for the Adventure Cycling Association's routes and maps? Or, can anyone recommend and outfit prepred to provide a map with supply and logistical details? I am traveling from Jacksonville, Florida, to the west, keeping near the coast, and riding as far as I can get in two weeks.

I ask because a previous attempt at a solo ride was a huge failure. In large part, the problem was trusting state's Department of Transportation which provided wildly inaccurate information about the location of campsites and bike shops and food and scenery.... and I wondered if the people who assembled the map actually left their cubicle to check the map for some reflection of reality.

So, if someone can recommend a route that comes with maps and guides, such as what the Adventure Cycling Association has, I'd like to hear from you.

    Thanks!!

I think you will find the AC maps are quite good. I had no difficulty riding the Southern Tier route from San Diego to St. Augustine.

    Adventure Cycling maps are great.
There are changes that occur, shops/campground closures and others opening etc. Adventure Cycling does their best to have updated info sheets on the changes. These sheets can be printed out off their website.
Be sure to inform them if you find something has changed along the route.
