Tour Vienna to Passau (Sept1 - 7 2003)

Hi,

I am looking for a cycle partner of average to reasonable fitness to join me on my Vienna to Passau leg of a Europe Tour this year. I will be starting in Budapest around August 23 and will be continuing on from Passau to Rome. (finish Oct 10)

The route is basically along the Danube cycle path perhaps with detours to see whatever we like.

The route is not set in stone and can be altered to suit your preferences.

Thanks

We did the Danube trail a couple of summers ago I would suggest you get the following book (in English)

The Danube BikeTrail
Author 'Verlag Roland Esterbauer' (verlag may mean author)
Published by 'BikeLine'
ISBN 3-900869-82-0

Also do a search for the word 'Danube' on this forum you will find details of a link to a page of a guy from the Ukrain who did the route a few years back

Also depending on your route from Passau to Rome if you are not pushed for time you could continue onto Regensberg in Germany and then head to Rome from there, you are within range of Munchen there

Verlag means Publishing house. The book, or rather booklet with maps, is great - I used it last summer when going from Passau to Vienna. That's also the order of the booklet, but it's just to start from back of the booklet when you go from Vienna to Passau.

I bought it on the net, I've forgotten where but just do a search for the publishing house.
