Nope. On this side of the world it means it's likely to be an usually warm summer. :(

That said, I heard another forecast that we'd get a big storm season this year, so that might provide some relief.

Although I personally take advantage of above average temperatures, I find it more and more depressing for many, many reasons when we have mild winters or abnormally warm periods at any time of the year.

Well, I had to scrape the ice off my windshield yesterday. There was over 1/2" of snow on my grass and roof. I have the heat on. I have never heard of snow in lower Michigan before Halloween, or before the leaves have changed color.

If we don't get a hard-cold-brutal winter up here in the Northwest pretty soon, then the pine beetles will finish off the forests.
