March Tour?

My wife and I have 2 weeks off in the end of march and tyring to plan a 2 week tour which means about 10 days of riding. Whe have thought about New Mexico but told it can be anywhere from 70F to snowing. Canyon lands area in utah but too cool for our liking with the highs in the mid 50s. Now we are looking at Death Valley-from Bakersfield to Las Vegas. Ran into someone many years ago who said he does this ride every spring.

What do you recommend?

Canyonlands sounds fabulous - March is the cusp between the too-cold and too-hot seasons, I would say mid-late march is perfect for s.e. utah.

I'll probably be in Indian Creek (60 miles south of Moab) climbing for the whole month of March. If you tour into the creek, look for the big blue van with the white pop top and tour bike on the back, say hi, and I'll hook you up with whatever i can help with.

Cheers...

Thanks for the responses and the hospitality valygrl. The Moab area looks more doable than the SW part of the state. The Zion area has a high in the low 50s in March. The more I am researching, the more I realize how much more time we would need to do this right. What a great area to explore expecially on two wheels.
