Thudbusters LT Vs. ST

I am building up my touring bike and choosing the final few items. I now ride a Thudbuster LT (long travel) http://www.thudbuster.com/products.html, on a mountain frame and I love it. I am going to use a Thudbuster on my new bike but I need to choose between the Short or Long travel. I have just enough room for the LT and I have some spare elastomers for it, but I think the ST would look better on a touring bike. Anyone used the ST and have any thoughts, how much travel does it really have? Thanks.
