What changes would YOU make to the LHT complete?

I think the design is very good for a premade bike. But, enthusiasts are going to tweak it a little. My curiosity is what you would change if you had to take this bike across the country. Here's what I would do, in no particular order:

change the tires to 28mm ruffy tuffys
swap for trekking bars
use kool stop brake shoes
change big cog for a 46t
swap for brooks B-17
carbon seatpost for vibration (this one isn't really that big of a deal)

I would put pedals and racks on and ride the **** out of it.

I'd go with the 28mm tires (yeah, marathons would be nice... but a good 28mm is fine)
swap for the B17 saddle
change the bar end shifters to STI (personal preference)
use reynolds 853 steel as a frame material

oh... but then what you have is a Rocky Mountain Sherpa 30!
