Leaving tomorrow
I am leaving on my 2600 km (1500 miles for those of you states side) bike ride from Linz Austria to Amsterdam, The Netherlands!
Wish me luck cus I got them butterflys in my stomach.

P.S. I am staying in a hostel the first night (Passau Germany), which is located inside of a castle. Cool huh? Europe for the win!
P.P.S. I will try to put updates of my adventure here https://www.myspace.com/seseneca

Have a great time! Sounds like it will be a good trip. Are you staying in hostels mostly or camping?

I am travelling along Danube to Deggendorf then I head south along the Isar radweg through Munich and south to the Bodensee-Konigsee radweg. I then head east to the bodensee, ride around it and take the Rhine north up into The Netherlands (with excursion to Belgium? depending on tiredness)
I will be hostelling mostly with some camping (I am bringing tent sleeping bag)
Here is a link to the rough sketch of my cycling route:

It's hard to see the rivers on the map when I made it but I will stay along the Danube until Deggendorf and I will follow the Rhine from Bodensee up to Rotterdam

Good luck. sounds fun. Wish our pending trip to Hungary/Romania were all bike miles. Gotta please the wifie. Will rent a bike in like four locations for some local touring. Besides, from Venice to Brasov to Bratislavia on a bike is too ambition on a bike for two weeks. It would be easy to take my bike on the train, but a pain to put it on Ryan Air to Venice.
You going thru Germany's Romantic road. Wish I were trailing you.
