4 days and Counting!
Hi all,
I am about to embark on my maiden voyage! It will be a 2 or 3 day mainly gravel road and a little paved road camping tour. It is right at 130 miles, but I never get more than 75 miles from home. My bike is a 2004 Trek 4300 stock componentry except for a Kalloy Trekking Bar, B-17 saddle and Crankbrother Candy pedals. I have added a Delta Shock Treatment front rack, a Bon Yuer World Traveler Rear Pannier Rack, have a set of Lone Pine front panniers and Nashbar Rear.
I will carry food for 3 days, 3 large water bottles and a 100oz Camelbak (I can stop at many windmills and fill up) A Eureka Solitare bivy tent, sleeping bag (0F), 3/4 Thermarest, Coleman Expedition Stove and a digital camera, a small first aid kit and enough clothing to make it through.
Thoughts?
