b17 narrow

Is the b17 narrow version less suited to touring than its standard counterpart? Thanks.

I have over a thousand miles on the B17N on my 520 and it is comfortable, but the reason it works is the bars are below the seat height. On my Volpe the bars are 1-2" higher than the seat and the standard B17 works much better. I also find the B17N a bit narrow overall, the divits from my sit bones are pretty close to the edges and I am average size.

So yes, I think overall it is less well-suited to touring.
