What do you think of this crankset on an LHT?

I just ordered a frame and I'm starting to make decisions on what components to buy. Nashbar has this crankset on sale: Shimano Deore LX FC-M572 Trekking Crankset with Chain Guard Any opinions? Recommendations? I'm 6'4", weigh 210, am 56 years old, and it's a 62cm frame (if any of that matters.) Thanks!

it will be fine. i have a tiagra crankset on my LHT and it's fine. the aluminum on the larger chainring is nice because it might save you a tiny bit of weight. i really like lx components so i think it's a good deal. you might want to take of the chainguard. it seems pretty useless to me, and is probably just added weight

In have this crank but I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. Its quite light and looks very strong though. At that price it is pretty much a deal that should not be passed up. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT BOTTOM BRACKET THOUGH!!! This is very important as its really only compatible with one bottom bracket, the es-51 IIRC. My LBS had one for cheap so it was not a problem, but you might not have as much luck.
