Nashbar trekking bars janked out of box

Hey everyone,

I'm more proportionally persnickety than most, and it hit me before I even got them out of the bag that my new Nashbar trekking bars were mis-aligned at the ends of the bar, by what looks like about 1/4 inch. I'd appreciate some data from other users of this popular touring bar to help me decide whether this is a QC error worth exchanging, or if it is just another casualty of my freakish, mind-numbing eye for detail. Thanks!

Send them back for an exchange.

Why? Well probably practically speaking this offset might not be a problem, but *you* know about it. besides, it might just be indicative of the bar being knocked severely, so why take the chance. Even if you keep them, you might be uncomfortable down the road, and then start thinking "I wonder if it's the bars....". Nah, exchange 'em, if only of for peace of mind.

The market for asymmetrical bicycle handle bars is pretty slim for a reason. I'd return them.

Mine were perfect out-of-the box. Send 'em back - they will probably treat you right.

Mine were fine too. Send them back.

Kewl thx. They were going back anyway but I wasn't sure whether to return or exchange. I'm fairly happy with the drops on my bike but for $10 bucks I thought it was finally time to play around with a pair of these. Not quite time yet, it seems.
