I have an Extrawheel and bought it with the 26" wheel to match my Thorn. Before using it I padded the internal frame at the area where the sacks press inwards. I used closed cell foam and cable clips and had no problem with wheel rub. Again, I used a cable tie to secure the internal plastic mudguard in place between the fork as this is held by tension alone. When the loaded sacks press inwards, this squeezes the mudguard and it pops up, rubbing against the tyre. No biggie, just make a small hole for the cable tie and secure it in place. Takes about five minutes.
As to packing, one has to take care. Keep the weight over the axle and to the front otherwise it can shake the bike. Again, keep the heavy items at the bottom of the sacks and it's best if you keep the extrawheel symbol facing out so as to know top and bottom at a glance.
Otherwise the trailer is of good quality and tracks beautifully. The biggest asset is the light weight (just over 8lbs) and it is simple with good access to the wheel.
