touring round the world
 

ok so ur touring round the world, and you can only use ur bike. how do you get from america to europe? go so fast to bike on water?

Ride to Alaska, then canoe to Russia, head west till you see the Eiffel Tower.

I'd use one of those bike powered pontoon boat rigs, that and maybe hold my jacket open to use as a sail if the wind serves. Couple 'a months should do it. Sleeping may become an issue, but hey, sleeping is over-rated anyway.

At the water's edge, you trade in your bike for a waterbike. Sure, it might take a while to get to the other end, but you're still peddling. Just watch out for those oceanic storms.

You neet really fat tyres. You run them at so low a pressure that they deform to take the shape of the waves, instead of punching through. Use Slime in the tubes to avoid flatting out on the icebergs. Oh, and pepper spray for the polar bears and sharks.
