Did my First Tour with my Wife

I finally got my wife out to do her first Bike Tour. We went easy for this first one. The ride was only about 35 miles each way, and we spent the night in the neighboring town. I pulled the trailer with our dog, the water, and the clothing. It wasn't the easiest ride because we had an extremely rough headwind, and then the next day it was blowing equally hard from the other direction. This made the 35-mile ride seem more like 60. Here's a pic of the dog in the trailer.

How can one resist bringing her along? The dog, not my wife!

How does the dog like the trailer? No way can I see my dog lying in one of those unrestrained. He's kind of nervous about new things he doesn't understand.

My wife did fine, except she got a little frustrated on the return trip, when the wind kept howling right at us. As I mentioned the wind was against on both legs of the trip. The dog did fine. Every once in a while she would start wimpering a little. This was usually a sign that we needed a break, and we'd let the dog roam the trail a little. Once she was tired out, she was happy to be back on her perch!
