Marathon Plus Alternatives?

I'm looking to buy some schwalbe marathon plus tires for my trip next week although everyone in Toronto seems to be out of stick ( 700 x 28 ).

Can anyone recommend some good alternatives (perhaps in Toronto)? Where I will be riding the ground will be littered with thorns so I needs some decent wheels.

thanks,
Jaret

Marathon XRs worked for me in Baja - a place known for prickly things. I had zero flats on that tour and am still flat free with those tires. As bonus they seem to roll pretty well.
