marinoni turismo or rivendell atlantis: which one to buy?

I'm torn between the turismo or the rivendell atlantis
(but the atlantis, once you factor in 13% duties, state tax
and our gst (let alone shipping) you're looking at $3600ish vs
a marinoni turismo for only $2300ish (quite the diff).

The atlantis attracts me due to its beauty design as an allrounder: so it's good for commuting even (nothing outrageous) mountain biking....don't know if the same can be said for the marinoni.

I am looking for (small 50 cm seat tube/52 top tube)
bike that is versatile: 80% of my touring is commuting to/from work (lots of hill climbing) and i love to ride fast, too.
onlyh 10-20% of my rides would be for loaded touring
if I ever wish to go on one (but want this versatility just in case).

I was seriously looking at buying a Marinoni Tourismo, as it is the best touring bike for the money. here in Canada. I ended up converting an MTB due to a lack of money and a full time job. You may consider shopping around for a better price or contact Marinoni directly as $2300. clams is much more then what I was quoted this past spring. $1800 for Shimano grupo or $2100 for the Centaur one. If you order from Quebec, I believe you will not have to pay PST. Marinoni also has a used bicycle page if you want to go that route.
