Connecting two Ortlieb rear panniers together
I have a flight booked with BA that allows me to check-in one piece of luggage. Is there a way of connecting two Ortlieb rear panniers together so that they look like one?

Put them back-to-back, tie the handles together and put some compression straps around them.

Watch out, my friends did this when we flew to Japan and ran into some trouble. The airline kept the combined ortliebs for inspection for 3 days, and our trip was delayed. Those panniers had the tools, so we couldn't put our bikes together. Our bikes were not held, nor were my panniers that were separated. It could be a fluke, but it happened.
