handlebar bag and a front rack w/platform?
Just wondering, does anyone use a handlebar bag and a front rack with a platform? Seems like most of the pictures I see it’s one or the other, but I don’t recall seeing both. If you use both, can you post pictures? I'd like to have both on my Thorn Sherpa, but I'm afraid there won't be much room between the bag and the platform to make it worthwhile to have the platform. Thanks.

I have something very similar; the front rack allows me to carry a tent on it, and the tent supports the front rack bag -I think this is a big plus. I always feel that there's a temptation to overload the front bag -I usually store camera, wallet, keys, food, and various other bits, etc in it -and the extra support is a nice thing to have.

I have a Jandd Extreme rack and an Ortlieb handlebar bag. The handlebar bag was interfering with my auxiliary ("cross") brake levers, so I tried a double stem setup.
Here's a picture of the double stem, although the handlebar bag is off the bike. (The orca is my horn.)
This worked fine for clearing the levers, but now the handlebar bag crowds the front rack platform a little (plus it adds weight.) It worked fine on this summer's tour, but before next summer I think I'm going to try scrapping the second stem and trying Ortlieb's extender for the handlebar bag. It will raise the handlebar bag a few inches, but I don't see that as being such a big deal.

I used a Cannondale bar bag and a Nitto Campee rack. I put my sleeping bag on the rack. Worked great.

It will depend on the size of you bike and stem angle / stack hight.

Yeah, I will have to do some measuring before I order. I'm not so worried about keeping my sleeping bag on the platform, it packs pretty small. I was thinking to use the platform as a place to carry some extra water if need. Does the rack below look like a Surly Nice Rack?
As I was looking at CGOAB this morning, I saw this pic
