Accident in Kazakhstan

Got an email this morning from Bryan of BisikleTEMA.

Gizem who posts here regularly under the name gizem310 was hit by a car in Kazakhstan, breaking five ribs, her collarbone and bruising veins in her neck. She has been transported back to Istanbul where she has been in the hospital for a few week undergoing surgery for the damaged veins and soon to undergo surgery to reset the collarbone.

Bryan ended the email with a note that she is expected to make a full recovery and he asked that she be kept in our prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about the accident, I have dropped in on their web site occasionally to check their progress. I'm pleased to see she will make a full recovery.

We should all keep Gizem in our thoughts and prayers.

In my thoughts. Just curious but did she have insurance? Not sure if medical costs are high but let us know if a fund is being set up or anything like that.

From casually reading her website and profile, I suspect she is either originally from Turkey or at least has family there.

Citizen or not, many countries with national health care (not sure if Turkey has it) offer the same health care free of charge or at low cost to visitors.
