Hey,

I am new to the forums and new to touring. Me and some friends have done some short, spontaneous tours this summer (2-7 days of leisurely biking, sleeping in parks under the stars) and are planning to do an extended tour in summer 2009.

Originally, we had planned to bike from Minneapolis to Seattle via the Northern Tier Route and then take a train or plane back to Minneapolis. However, we are looking at some other options.

I am looking a door-to-door tour about one month long, with good cycling routes and many options for camping, motels and food. We are planning for a fully supported tour, but it would be nice to have city options for convenience. I was thinking about circumnavigating Lake Superior or doing a Great Lakes loop.

Does anyone have any route information, websites, maps?
