Rack- or Bike-Mounted Hydration Systems?

I've used two main ways of staying hydrated during rides: water bottles (of varying types) and Camelbaks. My current CB is OK for hot weather -- the water stays cool but my back gets super-sweaty. I use regular bottles, or the new CB "Podium" bottle, when it's less than 95º or so.

However, I'm curious if anyone knows about on-bike hydration systems, preferably ones that can carry a fairly large volume of water. So far I've found one, the NeverReach. It's made for triathletes, but I'm figuring it could be for general use as well.

I guess the alternative is to strap a 2L CB onto the top of my rack and get a very, very long tube. ;)

Anyone use the NeverReach, or know of a similar system? Thanks....

You could make a similar system with a shorter tube if you run a front rack.

On tour I like to stop and take a break when I need to drink. When I need to refill bottles, I do so from extra water stored in Panniers (either bottles or camelback/platypus/MSR bag).

Even though I have more than one bottle rack, when its above 80, I keep all water bottles except one in my bags. They stay much much cooler, and if I fill one with ice and then top it with water, it'll keep any food I ahve nice and cold.

A bladder in the front pannier works OK. If loaded with ice it stays cold a long time even in 100F heat. I think my daughter and the other young women who did the TA with me spent $8 for a bladder complete with hose and bite valve from Walmart. It worked out well for them. The only complaint? You can't tell how much is water left.
