San Francisco Bay bridge loop?
I was looking at the map, preparing for my upcoming PCH tour. I really wished I had looked into this before as there will not be enough time but has anyone done a loop of the Bay Bridge, Richmond / San Rafael and Golden Gate Bridges. Seems like a very interesting loop. Is it possible to do that loop by bicycle? Is it worth the trip?
I might have time for the Bay Bridge. Can I get on to Treasure Island from the Bay Bridge (by bicycle)? I know there is not much there but it might make for an interesting view of the bay.

Such a loop is not possible by bike. You can't ride a bike on the Bay Bridge or the Richmond Bridge. This is the cause of a lot of noise in the biking community here in SF.
There is a route, called the Paradise loop (named for one of the streets), that goes over the GG Bridge, near the Richmond Bridge, and then back to SF either by Ferry or bike via the GG Bridge that is a good one.

An interesting but longer tour would be SF to Vallejo via Ferry upto Napa West to Bodega Bay and South Highway One through West Marin back across the Golden Gate to SF.
