Gap Adventures cycle tour vietnam info.
Sorry, I know that title is a mouthful but I need your advice. I usually post on the road forum as I ride road bikes mainly for fun and fitness as my racing days are over. However I thought you guys could help me better.
My wife is Vietnamese and is interested in returning to Vietnam for the first time. She left at the age of 2. She would like to take the Gap Adventures cycle tour of Vietnam. This is something I would love to do as an avid cyclist myself. However, although she is fit, she is not a cyclist. So I have some questions for those who may have done this ride. Here is a link to a detailed itinerary of the ride.

My questions are:
1. How physically demanding is this ride. I know I can do it, but how much training would my wife need to do? We are thinking of going in September by the way.
2. What kind of bikes do they provide?
3. What kind of gear should you bring?
4. What was your overall experiences of the trip?
Any other help you could provide would be most welcome.
Thank you,
j.

Vietnam Cycling
Hey there, This is not a hard trip I have done it from HCM to Hanoi. But your wife should get out on the road some before going. There or paved and non paved roads in Vietnam. I love it and if fact take my a group back there to do it again in March of 09.
