One week tour of Calvados

I've seen from other threads that quite a few people have done Normandy, but haven't seen any actual itineraries posted.

I'm thinking about doing a week in Calvados at the end of may. The wife doesn't like biking, so she'll be mobile with the car (probably just jumping from daily point A to point B, while I enjoy everything inbetween).

Does anyone have any route suggestions for someone who is a bit of a foodie and who likes the drink? The purpose of the journey is to see, eat and drink. Not to get anywhere specific.

I'm a bit of an amateur really -- the longest one day distance I've ever done was most of the coast of Belgium (Knokke to DePanne) - around 80 km. I was fine at the end of the day, but tired enough to be very very proud of myself Otherwise it's just been 50-ish kilometer daytrips around Brussels.

Thanks!

Aidas

Check out the Calvados touring page: http://www.calvados-tourisme.info/lo...te.php?lang=gb

It lists 5 loop routes in the Calvados region.

Thanks for the reply Ray.

I had already found those pages, and am probably going to use it as a basis for planning the trip, as I can't really find anything else. I was hoping that maybe there's someone out there who's done Calvados, ar maybe even someone who lives in the area who would give me suggestions. I really like the idea of getting off the beaten track, so if I can find some info for some itineraries outside those loops, I figure it'll take me off that path.

Best,

Aidas
