Best handlbar mount for iPhone

I'm using my iPhone to store maps and as a GPS device so I'd like to mount it on my handlbars for easy
viewing. Can anyone recommend a good mounting system. It would be nice if the system could fit the iPhone with case around it.

Sorry, don't have a recommendation. Just wondering how you store maps on your iPhone?

There are a couple of ways. Once you have the Google map etc that you want to store displayed on yur iPhone hold the off and "back to main page " button down together and release and the iPhone will take a screen shot of the display and store it in the camera roll. This is not the best resolution and the camera roll doesn't offer much in organization.

A better approach is to take screen captures of the Google maps you need using something like GIMP and then download them to the iPhone using Airshare. It can be a bit tedious for long tours, but you end up with the maps on the iPhone and don't need to use wifi or 3G to get the interactive Google maps. This approach is useful if you are uncertain of 3G access or you're going overseas as the data plans are expensive. I looked into what AT&T offers and for $25 a month you get 20MB of data usage. Accessing a google map takes about 0.5MB so online 3G Google maps would quickly use the 20MB.

I never knew the iPhone could do the first option and never thought about doing second. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I've actually come up with a simple solution. I remembered I had a small map case that mounts to the bike stem

https://www.cycoactive.com/bike/otg.html

The iPhone slips nicely into it and guess what I can use the touch pad through the clear plastic window. I put it on the bike and went for a quick ride and it works really well. The next thing that got me worrying was the battery life as I'll be looking at the maps all day, so I spent some time looking for a battery backup, but then I realized I already have spare power - my Asus laptop.

Huh? I've never heard of anything other than unlimited data plans. I pay $20/month for all the data usage I want on my original iphone, and thought the 3G plans are $30/month.

International data plans for US users are different; I believe they are limited.
