Jandd Mini Mountain mounts- pics, please?
Could somebody who uses these panniers please explain or show how the upper mounting system works? They`re on my "short list" for new smallish panniers, but the only picture I can find of their mounting system doesn`t make sense to me and the text that always accompanies the pics just says its adjustable for height, or some such. Thanks.

Jandd always seems to over explain their instructions and make things seem overly complicated. As soon as you hold them you'll know how it works.
The top mount is simple, just two rubber covered, inverted U hooks that drop over the rack top rails. The bottom hook attaches at the lower convergence point of the rack. It gets cinched up with a standard strap adjustment buckle and the excess strap gets secured by velcro. It's pretty simple, but a little difficult to reach as the cinch buckle is behind the rack. This does create a nice casual theft deterrent since you can't get the panniers off without undoing the inside strap.
You can also adjust the pannier positioning fore and aft on the rack to accommodate heal clearance, but I doubt that's often a problem with mini-mountains.
FYI, I haven't toured with these yet, but they seem well constructed and thought out. They will not come off your rack until you want them off.

Thank you, Dewaday. So the clips don`t lock on- they`re the same as on the Economy Panniers? The picture I was looking at just showed the straps and I couldn`t see what kind of clips they had.

Similar looking panniers, for much, much less.
