LHT is the bomb
I was out on my morning commute today it is about 15 miles and I usually average around 17 MPH. Today some hotshot on a litespeed full dura ace comes up from behind me and didn't even say hello or anything and was obviously being too serious. So i decide to have some fun and drop the hammer. I passed him and lead him for the remaining 13 miles by at LEAST half a mile. My average for this ride was 21.6MPH. He rode into my shop a few minutes after me saying that he couldn't believe a 30 pound steel frame touring bike with 700x37's could move that fast.
VIVA LA LHT!

Congrats!
It is the bomb, and mine got bombed.
I really love my 'luck hucker', and I'm really glad I decided to drop the cash and get one. I think it is a great bike.
See here for the full story of how my bike came to be covered in blood.

"..the bomb" -- is it 1997?
I love my lht - I find the 37mm tires to be an excellent balance between touring beefiness and efficient, fast road tires. It's a great performer for unloaded road rides, and I've never had a really nice road bike so to me it feels fast enough.
I did get passed by a roadie on my lht one time. It was my first time out riding it though, and the guy went to go pass and said "hey, sweet bike!" or something like that. My tires were probably pretty low (60-65psi) and I was in a tshirt and cargo pants and wasn't riding too fast anyway.
However, I did pass a car on the left side with my LHT going UPHILL once, so that was pretty awesome. Of course I was already going about 35-40 mph from a big downhill and coming up the other side of the valley. Pretty cool since the guy passed me on my left a minute before.

as for the photos of the bike. Is it odd that I think that looks good on the bike? lol, That sounds odd, but blood does have it's charm. O:-)
You are strong willed not to retaliate somehow.

i like my trucker, too.
of course, you'd have dropped dude much harder had you been riding *his* bike, and he'd been riding *yours*. Yes, i love my trucker, but it ain't as fast as my roadie.
