    Roberts Transcontinental

I do a lot of centuries now on my steel roadie - great bike but really a performance frame and not a tourer. My quiver of bikes has a Light CF bike for sprints & climbs, my columbus steel frame for longer rides, a AL MTB for ... well don't use it much and an ancient steel gas pipe freebee that I use to commute. I have been thinking of dropping two bikes and picking up a good touring frame. After looking at a lot of models I really like the quality, geometry and frame materials (columbus novachrome) of the Roberts Transcontinental . Being in the states I probably won't have an opportunity to see - let alone ride one. Anyone have any experience with this bike? Any thoughts or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Roberts are one of the premier frame-builders in the UK, famed for their fillet brazing. My LBS prefer them to anything else (inc Bob Jackson, Mercian). Highly recomended.

Thanks - I will try to keep this tread bumped up so that maybe someone familiar with this mode will speak up.
