Handlebar bag for trekking bars

Can anyone suggest a decent handlebar bag for use with trekking handlebars? Specifically, I have an REI Novara Safari. I'd like a bag which has a see-through map case on top, but which also is easily detachable to carry along with you (i.e. has a clip, not velcro). I've looked at many, but they look like they may have issues with the bar configuration on trekking bars. Ideas?

I have trekking bars but not on a Safari. I was able to put the Topeak TourGuide bag on it. It has a bracket that pushes it out from the bars almost far enough. The two side pockets are tight but I tilted the bag slightly forward and it provided more room. It has the clear map case too!

I would suggest going to a bike store with your bike and seeing what bags fit. I used my wife's TourGuide bag first to make sure it fit then bought my own.

I use a JandD Mountain Handle Pack I on my trekking bars. It hooks to the handlebars and to the top of the stem. It's not as big as some handlebar bags. but it keeps my wallet, camera, sunglasses, and assorted other things close at hand. It's very well made.

It doesn't have a built in map holder. Since I use a cheap set of aero bars (without the arm rests) hooked to my trekking handlebar, I hook a standalone map holder to it. REI has the standalone map holders as well as lots of other places.

The stem bag is also a good option. REI had one that looked good but I can't find it on the website now. I was considering that before I got my bag.

Thanks for posting this. I was looking yesterday for a photo of one mounted on a bike. Jandd makes some good stuff.
