The people at the end of the article sound as if they are not used to riding and they apperantly ,by the pictures ,did this ride right after the amount of rain we had this spring.
Personally I like the way the trail is and don't want to change it.I think it adds character to the way it used to be and that it just makes everything more historic.

Is it me our does the article end strangly?
The end is a little odd, but acceptable in a feature article.

Don't expect significant improvement for 2010. It will take more than a year to repair the damage at Big Slackwater, the 'permanent' detour south of Williamsport.

Yeah I am guessing this is going to take years to implement.

This fall, crews are scheduled to begin repaving the most problematic stretches of the trail with a gravel mix, paid for with $660,000 from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Fund
