Not really a tour but
I have had my Surly LHT for almost a year and haven't gotten to ride it more than 6 miles to work and back. Tomorrow I am going to take it out for the longest ride yet a whole 36 miler. Not really that far but it's going to feel like an escape pod for a couple of hours.

Have fun get out and enjoy the ride, but be warned, that escapepod could be addicting. If you get addicted you may find yourself spending more money to keep yourself fed for even longer rides. But I guess thats a pretty good addiction though.

Indeed, enjoy my friend. Nothing says "bliss" like a nice, long ride. Plus, you'll be able to dial in the fit a bit more with a much longer ride.

Most of the time when I ride on the weekend it's a training ride and I am on my QR Seduza so it's all about performance. Today was another story riding the trucker, I slowed way down, worked on my spin and enjoyed the ride. I stopped to take pictures or just admire the view a couple of times. I had forgotten how much I simply love to be out on a nice ride, I could get used to this.

Almost every recreational ride I do is a tour. There are usually at least front panniers loaded up with sandwiches and other various indulgences, and I generally like to take my time to enjoy the areas I pass through, whether it be a 10, 15, or 50 mile ride. Take your time, escape, enjoy, and have fun....that's what it's all about IMO.

That's a great start ... keep it up, and you'll be riding your local century.
