Transamerica Tour 25th Anniversery

After nearly 15 years without riding, I've ordered a new bike today. I finished the Transamerica Bikecentennial tour (5,300 mi East to West) in the summer of 84, and finally decided to start riding again for exercise, and pleasure after watching a few stages of the Tour de France. I haven't been on a bike for 15 years and it feels weird and challenging.

I went our on an old mountain bike for a quick neighborhood ride and got the bug. Ordered a Trek FX 7.6 hybrid bike to get my legs back. Bicycle technology has certainly improved in past 25 years, but the neighborhood hills look like mountains.

Time to stock up on band aids It will be good to be back.
