Vancouver, BC vicinity river crossing

In planning a trip up through Vancouver I came across a route slip from a Seattle group that indicates there is a bridge from just west of Fort Langley, across the Fraser, to the Pitt Meadows area, but I don't see anything indicated on road maps for the area. Is it possible there is a pedestrian bridge not shown on road maps, or is the route information in error?? Thanks for any help.

That's the new Golden ears bridge which opened about a month ago. Take 200th St. cross 96th Ave. and you go right over it.

Is the Albion ferry still working? I loved that little ferry 30 years ago!

The Albion Ferry is gone and IMO it should have happened years ago.

I suppose if you live there and rely on it for transportation the romantic, quaint aspects lose their value. If you used it once every decade on a bike tour it was pretty fun.

Here is a link:

I haven't ridden across it yet but will soon, just to say I did.

Thank you for a very helpful link. I downloaded the 2 primary bike route maps previously, which was, in part, what prompted my inquiry since the east Vancouver map doesn't show the existence of the new bridge.

There's a nice, wide pedestrian/cycle path on each side of the bridge. It's worth mentioning that there is no toll for pedestrians and cyclists.

I've ridden over the bridge a couple of times now -- it's worth a stop at the centre of the bridge to take in the view, which is spectacular -- especially on a clear, sunny day with Mt Baker standing majestically in the distance.

I liked the Albion ferry as well -- it was cool (although the new bridge makes better sense for moving traffic).
