hey Everyone! I've been a long time reader, but not much of a poster, so now that i am actually gearing up for my first big tour I thought I'd better get more involved here! I used to ride a Trek roadbike and sold that so I would have a little cash to buy a Surly LHT - which I absolutely adore! What a great ride it's been! Anyway...my route is going to take me from the UK, through France, Italy, and then through the Balkans to Istanbul. I've been on a few other UK forums looking for advice and would love to hear from anyone that has experience of touring in these areas...especially in the Fall/winter. I'm looking for info on wild camping in say, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania...and advice on routes.
