When trying to build a bulletproof tandem wheel, I bought Alpine IIIs from St. John St. Cycles in the UK. They have tons of lengths (even the ones DT has discontinued). Decent price and quick shipping.

Also cut spokes without rolled threads are something I would not buy.

Butted. If you don't want to build it, Harris cyclery has a topuring wheel-set for about $220 and it uses butted spokes. They make for a stronger more durable wheel.
